Our second venue in leafy Jesmond is the neighbourhood, community-led cousin to our city centre restaurant. With a vibrant open kitchen, light-filled veranda and friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for laid-back local dining and getting together with friends.
From the heated veranda to the private vrooma (see below), there’s a space for every kind of diner. Find us just off Brentwood Avenue, and a short walk from Osborne Road.
The Vrooma
Welcome to Newcastle’s finest (and probably only) vrooma. A private dining space for something a little more special, the vrooma is nestled between the veranda and wider restaurant. It’s tucked away while still capturing the buzz and character of Dabbawal, making it ideal for celebrations, intimate gatherings and group dining.
The Veranda
The veranda is the jewel in the Dabbawal crown. Our fully heated outdoor dining space is adorned with flowers and greenery, creating a beautiful urban oasis all year round. Come summer evenings or cosy winter nights, it’s the perfect place to enjoy real Indian food, surrounded by warm lighting and lush, botanical touches.
